Hi!

My name is María. I’m 24 years old and I’m from Valladolid. We are four in my family: my mom, my dad and my little brother (who has 21 :P, he’s also studying to be a teacher).

At first, I’m really shy, but when I meet people I am very talkative. In my free time I prefer to stay with my friends, just sitting in the grass and taking some photos. I also enjoy listening to music, better if it’s in English. My best plan it’s to go to a concert. My favourite groups are Mcfly, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte and 30 stm.

I am already a teacher of Spanish, Maths and Science for primary school. I finished my degree in the University of Valladolid in 2015, but this year I decided that I want to be an English teacher and change the way this beautiful language is taught in our country.

I have not so much teaching experience. Only the two periods of practice that our degree offers to us, but I learnt so much. The first one was in a traditional school where all the teachers know everything about their students. The second one was in a spectacular school for me. It was at the outskirts of the city and there, kids learn without being all the time with a book in front of them.

I really want to be a teacher but I think that I need more information and support to be a CLIL teacher so I think that this exchange will help me a lot. When our teacher told us about this, I felt really excited because it is also a great way to meet new people a practice our English. You can view some photos of me and my friends in the links.
