Maria Ellen

Living and working with family in Italy for more than a decade prepared Maria Ellen to join her family owned food manufacturing business back in the U.S. where she found her passion was in research and development. Her time in Italy also ignited her interest in immigration, emmigration and cultural assimilation.

FinnishBakery Blog was created to share her journey to rediscover her Finnish-American cultural identity and her dilemma of falling in and out of love agan with being Italian.

Maria Ellen has a master's degree in integrated marketing communications and a master's degree in business administration and lives near Chicago, IL with her husband and four daughters. Cardamom is her spice of choice.
