I have encountered hundreds of applicants in my career as secretary and head of human resource department, and a handful of applicants did not get the job because their application letters and CVs were not comprehensible, updated and formatted enough for owners to take notice while some of them failed miserably during the interview process, have prepared well enough and many other reasons.
