The Basic Art of Italian Cooking is written at my farm in the mountains of Abruzzo, Italy where I began studying the art of Italian cuisine while modeling in Italy. I began studying my family's roots and also their background in the culinary arts and then pursued the culinary arts professionally. My great grandparents had a large vineyard in central Italy. One of my favorite 'modeling gigs' while in Italy was being painted by Italian artist Sergio Terzi (who goes by the moniker of Nerone). The painting was exhibited all over the world and eventually at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. My appearances and book signings for The Basic Art of Italian Cooking includes (the largest Italian festival in the US)-the Festa Italiana in Milwaukee Wisconsin and many gourmet food and wine events. Recently Regent Cruises and Rosenbluth Vacations asked me to partner with them and create and host a series of all inclusive luxury cruises to Italy and the Mediterranean. The cruises includes exploring Italy and various countries in the Mediterranean and culinary experiences there. I now divide my time between my country farm in the mountains of Italy and my residence in the USA.
