Miss Mariama Jalloh is a young hardworking Sierra Leonean lady who has been working tirelessly to help in the development of young girls and women in Sierra Leone. She is a student at the University of Management and Technology. She is studying Procurement and Logistics and she is in final year. Miss Jalloh is an Ambassador for Girls development in Sierra Leone and works with Girls Empowerment Sierra Leone, an organization that has contributed immensely to the development of girls in rural communities. Aside her roles in the development of girls, she is also the Executive Director of Selfless Endeavors, a youth organization that is focused on selfless community services. Miss Jalloh is also one of the emerging entrepreneurs in Sierra Leone, with her Mariam’s Perfect Plan Ltd she has employed over ten (10) youths. She is also an ardent girls and women advocate.
Miss Jalloh has a special knack for leadership. As a student she has occupied a lot of leadership positions and has left enduring legacies. She was the first democratically elected female president of the Sierra Leone Debating Council University of Management and Technology, a position she used to trained students and young people the skills of Debate and Public Speaking. She has also served as the Mayor for UNIMTECH main campus for the year 2018\2019. During her reign as vice-president of the Sierra Leone Debating Council, she worked very hard to bring developmental activities to the Council that she was voted in as president. Her active roles in students’ activities made her to be appointed as the Assistance Secretary General for the Students’ Union Government-UNIMTECH 2019\2020.
Miss Mariama Jalloh is also taking the challenge to contest for the next Student Union President at the University of Management and Technology with the firm determination of working with the administration and students to bring more developmental activities to the university. Her manifesto titled HER LEAD MANIFESTO captures thematic areas of development required to change the face of our cherished university through effective student leadership.
