First, I want to express a warm "thank you" to all who've visited and left feedback.

I have been an artist for as long as I can remember, from a little girl depicting my older female family members dressed as princesses and queens with long legs that stretched all the way up to their necks. That was how I saw them then, from a vantage point low to the ground. Surely anyone who had grown so tall must be royalty, from my grandmother to my ballet instructor: regal and good.

As I moved into adulthood, I found that abuse had made it difficult to understand myself. I started college pursuing a Biology degree, and paid for some of my classes by working as an art model. I was hooked then, and switched my major to Art. Although life challenges have taken me away from that pursuit sometimes, it's a path I've returned to repeatedly. I know now that art is where I belong. Through the characters I paint, I get to be whatever I've always dreamed of being.

Over the years I've experienced numerous attempts and failures at building an art business. Today I'm no longer concerned with those failures, but am focused on expanding upon the truths I've discovered. I know that I have something of value to offer in this life, and I don't intend to forget that truth any more. I plan to continue my exploration of sculpture and mixed media work, and to open the door to other opportunities that might present themselves. Life is too short to say "no" all the time when what the heart really wants is to say "yes". Of course, we have to be realistic about what we say "yes" to -- but life is so much more meaningful when we're more aware of possibilities than of limitations.

In addition, I have a wide range of passions and interests. I believe in the ultimate good of all people, even when it's hard to see it on the surface. Perhaps especially then. I'm passionate about equality regardless of race, gender, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. I think the world will evolve spiritually when all people are valued for their unlimited potential.

I'm a sucker for a giggling baby, a cat magnet and curry lover, worshipper of music, and frequent dyer of hair -- although I think at least for this week, brown is a good color.

Thanks for stopping by my page. I appreciate it more than I can say.
