Meryana Abdel-kader
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
I am student at Algonquin College where I am currently enrolled in the Business Administration program and majoring in International Business.
A little bit about my background, I was born in Ottawa, Canada where I lived for the first 3 years of my life. Then my parents and I moved to Lebanon, where I descend from originally, and I lived there for about 9 years. I went to school there and lived my childhood close to my family. After things started getting bad in Lebanon we were forced to leave the country and go back to Canada. I think that was the biggest life change in my life because I was exposed to a different approach to life. I was given opportunities that would have never been offered to me in Lebanon. I graduated high school in 2012 and attended Algonquin College.
I am fluently bilingual in English and Arabic. I am a person that loves to work and look back at the things that have been achieved and be proud. I firmly believe that my major requires a strong sense of communication and just like all my professors have told me “it’s all about connections”. So I socialize with everyone, and I mean EVERYONE. I am outgoing and I believe that every step that I take will get me closer to my goal. So I am eager to learn new things and gain as much experience as there is to be gained.
My interests are driven by my love of fashion, traveling and music.
I would like to pursue a career in the International Business field.
