Marianna Sotomayor

Washington, Dc Metro Area

My name is Marianna Sotomayor and as a good political junkie, I am studying Political Communication at the George Washington University in hopes of becoming a political reporter. Several events have led to this career choice and to spare you a majority of the details, I'll tell you that my love for performing, curiosity, and my passion to know the facts about almost everything definitely attributed to the decision.

So what makes me different? For starters, I have quite the craving for pesto sauce and shoes. On a deeper level, I consider myself a charismatic individual whose drive and ambition is making her future goals look more achievable as the years go by. Feats, such as interning for CNN and writing for POLITICO, are just the beginning of my life long run (I personally run quite slow, so I'm working to pick up my pace in that area too). I’m hungry to learn and develop my skills both in my life and for my future career. Trust me, I am capable of asking many questions to help me figure it out. And at 21, I’ve learned life lessons that have and will continue to steer me in the path that I chose. Yes, my life is pretty hectic between internships, classes, and extra-curriculars, but it's consumed with all the things that I love, thus creating the most perfect balance.
