Marianne Virgili

Marianne Virgili is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association. Located in western Colorado, Glenwood Springs features the largest natural hot springs pool in the world and is a popular destination for kayaking, rafting, fishing, and hiking. Active with the Glenwood Springs Chamber since 1985, Marianne Virgili has diligently promoted the local community in numerous capacities. The Glenwood Springs Chamber of Commerce operates as a nonprofit organization currently maintaining approximately 650 members. Under Marianne Virgili's strong leadership, the organization has been recognized on three occasions as one of the top three small/medium-sized chambers in the United States.

Marianne Virgili's current responsibilities with the Glenwood Springs Chamber focus on overseeing program development while managing the budget. She is responsible for eight office staff members. Marianne Virgili also holds the position of Film Commissioner at the Glenwood Springs Film Commission and manages the Glenwood Springs Visitor Information Center. Over the course of her career as a Certified Chamber Executive, Ms. Virgili has authored numerous articles to promote tourism and local activities in the community. Through her contributions to the Official Insider's Guide to Glenwood Springs, she earned a writing award from the North American Travel Journalists Association. She has also achieved 16 ACE awards for her writings from the American Chamber of Commerce Executives.

Educated at Kent State University, Marianne Virgili completed her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Public Relations in 1970. In her personal life, Ms. Virgili supports charitable organizations including Bonfils Blood Center and the Valley View Hospital Foundation. She enjoys spending her free time in the outdoors biking, hiking, and walking her dog. Her favorite leisure activities include cooking, reading, and writing.
