Marianne Murciano is an Emmy award winning writer, journalist and TV personality. With her husband Bob Sirott, the duo recently hosted the popular Sirott and Murciano daily talk shows on Chicago’s legendary WGN and WLS Radio stations. They co-anchored Fox Thing in the Morning on WFLD-TV from 1994 to 2000. Both are veterans of TV and radio with successful careers in broadcasting and communications. With a longtime fan-base on the air and on social media, they've embarked on several ventures that combine their passions for food, travel and fun.

After launching a food and travel website years ago, a hobby grew into a real business as Marianne created the brand Savvy Planet, packed with savvy lifestyle tips, recipes and offering eco-friendly products. In a short time, Savvy Planet has already become a powerful driver of their radio and TV fans to their site. They're also attracting a steady stream of iconic brands as sponsors.

Born in Havana, Cuba, Marianne began her career in Miami radio and TV, creating, producing, reporting and anchoring various broadcasts, including anchoring the top rated morning TV news program on NBC, Today in South Florida. She contributed to WTTW/PBS Chicago Tonight on a series featuring interviews from the homes of well-known personalities. She has also trained corporate executives as senior consultant for the global media relations company Hill & Knowlton. Marianne has a Master's Degree in writing and she’s currently working on her first book, A Savvy Guide to Life, scheduled to be published in 2021.
