Maria Reyes
I am a program evaluator who uses a mixed-methods approach to value the efficiency, effectiveness and impact of programs. My work experience includes designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation strategies, including creating logic models, performance indicators and theories of change; elaborating annual performance reports and writing summative and formative evaluations. Government departments as well as for non-profit organizations are two work settings I am familiar with.
My main research interest is the design of trans-disciplinary evaluation methodology; the creation of evaluation tools that, by comprising elements from multiple disciplines, can provide accurate information not only about the unit of analysis but its system. My skill set includes knowledge of cost-benefit analysis, impact evaluation and ecological valuation methods; high proficiency in Spanish (both, spoken and written) and medium proficiency in spoken French.
I am a member of the Institute of Public Administration Canada - NS Chapter - and the Canadian Evaluation Society - NS Chapter and the Halifax Harbourside Rotary Club.
