Born in Seattle, I grew up on an island in Puget Sound only reachable by ferryboat. This taught me that no matter how slow or arduous the journey is, you'll eventually reach your destination. I've written newspaper and magazine articles, and reams of online content, but didn't author a book until my 40th birthday was well behind me. The third edition of 'Newcomer's Handbook for Moving to and Living in Seattle' has since been updated by others, but it was my debut. My follow-up literary endeavor is still in the works. Eventually...

I work by day as an Accountant at a software company. Unable to favor one side of my brain over the other, I spend my nights writing, making jewelry, and crocheting afghans, scarves, and shawls for my Greenhold Design Etsy shop, blogging at So Tell Me This, and working on a novel.

In a former life I combined my writing skills and business background, including working in HR, to create employee handbooks, human resources policy manuals, and accounting procedures manuals for small businesses. I also studied communications and accounting at different times in college, and majored in history.

In that former life I also wrote extensively about parenting and life as a single mother. The kids grew up. It's a linear existence and I'm on to new adventures.
