Maria Turauskis

Maria is a music industry professional who has worked in various industry settings, focusing around the areas of music journalism, research, copywriting, online visibility development, online marketing and digital administration. She has also been involved in music education, artistic photography, design and development for various musicians, and has completed work as a session musician, working on community and independent music projects.

She currently works on a freelance basis, writing for the online magazines More than the Music, the girls are, herecomeseveryone.org and God is in the TV. She completes a lot of work sub-editing the new music section on More than the Music, entitled The Next Best Thing. Maria is also a founding member of the very young start-up company Silver Lining, which offers remote digital administration services for music, media and arts organisations. This work combines her two key areas of expertise, the arts and online enterprise.

She is a recent first class BA graduate, and continues to love learning and relishes any opportunity to develop her skills. Her first love however is music, which has run as a thick vein through her professional life and her personal life. She is constantly looking for new freelance, music-based opportunities and/or permanent work.
