Maria Vargas Davila

I was born in Lima, Peru, and have lived in Lima for much of my life. I studied Business Administration at the University of Ricardo Palma in Lima and then worked for an air transport company operating flights across the Andes.

In 2009 I moved to the UK and worked for the Care Quality Commission as well as some charitable organisations before founding Go Andes, a UK-based South American tour operator business, in 2012.

I am very proud of the fact that I am South American and believe the continent has an incredible variety and quality of culture, history, archaeology, wildlife, food and landscape, making it one of the greatest places to travel on earth.

I founded Go Andes to give me a platform to share my knowledge and passion for South America with people from the UK, by creating travel and holiday opportunities to some of my favourite places.

My passions are music, culture, history, and travel - I like nothing better than travelling and exploring historical locations, and I used my time in South America to travel across much of the continent, and found it fascinating!

I love what I do, and love to be able to help others travel to South America.
