Hello! I'm Maria Wakefield and I am the Product Sales Training Manager for the Veterinary Segment of Standard Process Inc. I have been working for Standard Process for 13 years and I LOVE what I do. I am blessed to work closely with veterinarians, veterinary technicians and sales professionals that are passionate about incorporating the Standard Process Veterinary Formulas in their patient protocols. Together we are changing lives every day.
My career in veterinary medicine started out at VA Tech where I majored in Animal Science. Although I didn't go on to vet school, I enjoyed a 15-year career as an equine critical care nurse at the Equine Medical Center in Leesburg, VA. For the first 6 years of my Standard Process career, I served as the dedicated Veterinary Representative for the state of PA. I was then transitioned over to serving in the human healthcare sector for the next 5 years. I am excited to get back to my roots with my new position, supporting veterinary clients and our veterinary sales team.
