I represented a client in a personal injury case where we, the plaintiffs, received the largest award ever given by a jury in New Orleans Civil District Court.

Also, I am a former judge. I attended the National Judicial College in 2005 in Reno, Nevada. I was an Administrative Law Judge for the State of Louisiana in the Division of Administrative Law. I was also a legal aid attorney (criminal and civil) for the indigent. I have handled many hearings and trials in the federal, criminal, civil and traffic courts.

In January 2010, I was the only African American female lawyer honored by the New Orleans CityBusiness Leadership in Law for 2010. 50 area legal professionals in four categories: firm associated, court associated, in-house counsel and educators were selected based on their professional and community involvement and achievements that have set the pace for the overall community.

As a legal author, I have co-written and received grants for Juvenile Court to aid Child in Need of Care cases, homeless programs, and Battered Women’s Shelters for the indigent.

I have worked with the City's homeless, battered women, indigent, and troubled youth and serving the community has taught me that we need a Juvenile Delinquency Prevention Plan which includes policies and programs that require a long-term engagement with public agency directors, government officials, and community leaders to help shape juvenile court.

Former singer with the Moses Hogan Chorale. I continue to sing and I love to paint.
