Marie Mannino

My name is Marie Mannino. I'm a student at UCLA currently working on getting my Introduction to Science Certificate, having already received my bachelors degree in English Literature from UC Irvine in 2011. Although I study for hours during the week I am always writing in between. I currently write short fiction and hope to be published someday.

I have recently finished an internship with Surfmyads, a company in Santa Monica California specializing in web advertising where I worked for six months in editorial and PR & Media. There I was coached in the art of the SEO, television segment content writing, research and more. I was also asked to participate in writing guest posts for Shoes.TV that dabbles in the latest in fashion, interviewing designers on the red carpet and scooping the latest in shoes like Christian Louboutin. These past few months of my life has exposed me to fashion writing and advertising in a way that makes the company happy and entertains the consumer.

I am starting my life as a writer by hitting the ground running and taking on any project that comes my way. I love contributing to creative projects that allow me to spin in a unique way and a good challange is always welcome. My current samples can be found here:
