Marie Régy

Istanbul, Turkey.

Free-lance translator since 1994, I have an unusual background.
As an Historian, I obtained a postgraduate diploma in Modern History in 1990 at the University of Pierre-Mendés France (Grenoble II - France).
In 1992, I left for Mexico within scientific and cultural cooperation.
In 1994, during an international commercial meeting in Mexico City, I took my first steps in translation and interpretation, activities which I carried along with teaching.
Recently moved to Istanbul, I devote myself full –time to translate commercial, legal and technical documents from Spanish into French and vice versa.
I also have skills in drafting, adaptation including proofreading of texts and subtitling of any audio-visual material in both languages.
Sensitive to the image conveyed by the documents which I am entrusted with, I am most concerned in translating the ideas close to the style of the country of destination, for an optimal quality, in all confidentiality and within limited time.
