Greetings, I’m Marija.
I received BA and MA in English philology from Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad; I work as an English teacher in primary and secondary schools; I am a Serbian-English translator and interpreter; and a Java software developer.
My translation work is related to hearing impairment and deafness; psychology; railway construction; social media; psychology; statistics; and sustainable rural tourism.
As a software developer, I am experienced in all things web: from copywriting, social media, community management, web content development, to WordPress CMS, web design, and software development. I am also self-taught experienced user of Linux Mint OS.
I am learning web apps development in Java, including Spring, Hibernate and JPA, MySQL databases, testing, and React and JavaScript. For that, I work in Eclipse, MySQL Workbench, Spring Tool Suite, Postman, and Visual Studio Code.
I come from Serbia, but I've spent a lot of time abroad and have visited the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Poland, Macedonia, Greece, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia and Montenegro, mostly through youth mobility programmes funded by the European Commission Youth in action / Erasmus plus projects.
I am looking for positions to improve my knowledge and to hone my skills in software and web content development.
I am a volunteer, a fan of writing, travel, technology, cycling and karate. My dream is to travel the world by working in the field of education and sports, my two greatest passions.
