Mari Kukkonen

My name is Mari Kukkonen, I'm a 25 year old woman, a girlfriend to one magnificent man and a mother for a one almost 4 year old little pirate princess living in Espoo now. Currently I'm working as a sales assistant and action woman in Fikato media house making Kauppakalenteri and Yrityskalenteri, which every Finn knows (it has been published since 1991 and has a history beyond that).

Also at the moment I am studying business and administration and I am volunteering at Yeesi organization (they work to prevent youths mental health issues) and at Amnesty's Joku raja -verkosto (they work to help women who's experienced violence in their relationships/lives). With Amnesty I'm doing very minor things, just helping other people in it, but with Yeesi I actually was able to be a part of making the Youth Voting Aid Application this year, which was really amazing opportunity. I've also been participating to organize cooking events for multicultural people in Yeesi and now we are making an art project for Mental Health Art Week 2015, which has been absolutely awesome (storm braining ideas, counting on budgets, seeking for a space to keep our gallery project etc). I'm also doing as much as I can for Prometheus organization, that organizes camps for young people, in January 2015 there was this Nufit event which is basically philosophy event for youth, where young people can go talk about politics and worldviews and their thoughts with some really big names (http://www.nufit.fi).
