I'm a new Academic Counselor at St. Charles Community College! I grew up in St. Peters, so it's great to be home.

ABOUT MY HIGHER ED JOURNEY:
Even though St. Peters is home for me, I worked at KU for a few years as an academic advisor (rock chalk!). Before that, I was at Missouri State University as a graduate assistant career counselor and instructor of major/career exploration classes. Exploration is one of my favorite things about the college experience!

I also love getting my hands dirty in the world of research. I've published some of my research projects (and won some awards!) in the areas of academic advising, survey development, and psycholinguistics.

I LOVE NACADA (a professional organization for academic advisors)! I have presented at regional and national conferences (most recently in Las Vegas), received graduate student and research awards, and published my research in the NACADA Journal.

I love anything and everything about technology and social media, and try to incorporate these passions in my advising.

SOME FUN THINGS:
I have a rescue kitty named Andie.

I'm marrying an aerospace engineer on 10/15/16! #soontobeLukefahr

I'm a musician - I play piano, clarinet (badly), soprano saxophone (very badly), handbells, and percussion!

I love watching college basketball, especially during March Madness.

I don't know what I would do without Hulu and Netflix.

My dream job would be working as one of those bridal consultants on Say Yes to the Dress.
