Marilu Gunness

Hello, My name is Marilu Gunness. I am currently pursuing my bachelor’s in Public Administration at F.I.U. I previously attended Miami Dade College; I haven’t been in school for a few years therefore I hope this transition runs smoothly. I am a mother to my 4 year old son, Sheldon which is a reason why I’m back in school today. I’ve been working full time for a Miami Dade municipality for over 5 years.

I have lots of interests but my favorites are baking, food (eating it of course), music, entertaining and watching ‘based on true story’ movies. My passion would be to grow and distribute my own line of food products; promoting agriculture and locally grown food to communities.

My expectation in this course is to acquire knowledge on how Research
Methods plays a role in government and other aspects of my life. Within the next 5 years I would like to acquire a management position and would like a better understanding on government policy making and how it affects our lifestyles and choices.
