Hello,
I'm Author Marilyn Lancelot, and I have much to share about compulsive gambling addiction....

I have published three books about addictions and recovery titled; 'Gripped By Gambling,' 'Switching Addictions,' and my new book, "Detour." The books dedcribe my journey into addictive behavior, and the steps I have taken to recover. I share my story to share Hope, and how being of recovery service to others has helped give me the hope & strenght to live a full and satisfying life.

Through writing, authoring my books, and through my helpful websites, I have made countless number of friends from every corner of the world, and have exchanged messages with each of them. Even though I'm retired, and a senior citizen, I still make and strive to achieve all my goals I set for myself. I pray and thank my Higher Power daily for my health, the daily blessings I recieve, and the strength to climb each moutain as they appear on my journey.

Life is good today. I've learned the difference between needs and wants, abstinence and recovery, serenity and boredom, and hobbies versus addictions. My loving family and hobbies occupy my days as they fullfill me with peaceful thoughts.
Who knew living life in recovery could change so many
aspects of one's Life?

I assumed that my addictions were my problem, but soon I learned in recovery that I was problem....

Over the last twenty years I've been invited to speak at many State and National conferences to share my story. Have been interviewed for many magazine & newspaper articles, and interviewed on television. If I can't answer your question, I can find someone who has a solution.
