I also have a certificates in Psychology and in Grief & Bereavement Counselling and as such, I hold all necessary qualifications and insurances to practice psychotherapy. As an Individual Student member of the BACP, I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and am subject to its Professional Conduct Procedure (available from http://www.bacp.co.uk or upon request).
I enjoy and actively seek to improve my skills, knowledge and abilities through on going professional development and training, which recently included workshops on Dreams, Nurtured Heart Approach , Imagery & Metaphor.
I have also decided to extend my qualifications and as such, I am in my final year of a degree course in Integrative Counselling.
My interests and specialist areas are grief & bereavement, Child & Adolescent Counselling and Reparative work.
I occasionally work using Buttons,Imagery, sand play & puppets. I also have experience in Telephone counselling and I am able to offer Email, Skype or telephone consultations.
Between 2011 and 2013 I also worked as a counsellor with “Therapy Counts”, a charitable organization, whose ‘aim was to provide an easy accessible Counselling service to the community of Thetford’.
As well as running a Private Practice, I offer my services on a voluntary basis. As from October 2013 I will be working with "The Big C" as a Family counsellor.
