It was the last time we would step foot in the halls of good old Mount Zion High School and we more than ready to graduate. It took us by surprise that the closer we got to graduation, the closer we grew together. In our minds, we could see a clear vision of the big day, but in reality, we saw pain in each other's eyes because we knew that some of us would never see each other again. To mend these soon to be broken hearts, my graduating class made a pact to make this the best year of our lives; to do any and everything together without regrets. That's exactly what we did. From homecoming to prom, from our senior prank to senior skip day, we made every minute worth wild. I hold my senior year close to my heart because is this the year in which I matured the most. I got my first real job, my first boyfriend, met my best friends, and achieved all of my goals. It was such an amazing experience. I got my first real job working at Toys R Us. It was the summer before senior year and my siblings told me I should look for a job to pay off senior dues and other senior activities that I may want to take part in. They also told me it would help me manage my money wisely once I started college and to become more responsible. After I applied, I received a phone call and a week after that I got the job. I was so happy by the experience and how it made me grow as a person. Holding a job, trying to take part in senior activities, and trying to maintain a good GPA were all things that make my year memorable. My friends and I had the time of our lives. The three most memorable moments of our lives were when we all got our first jobs senior year, when we got to dress however we wanted to for senior week, and we when graduated top of our class with honors. These moments were all traditions that seniors past down to the rising juniors in hopes that we all take our most beloved memories and cherish them for years to come.
