Marina Richards

Hello. I was raised in California, and now live in New England with my husband.

I used to be a TV commercial writer for an ABC affiliate, then became an advertising agency copywriter in Boston. I won some awards, and did the girl-in-the-city gig for several years. My short fiction has been published in Ghost Parachute, Mystery Tribune, The Hooghly Review, The Waccamaw Journal, The Texas Wind Anthology, Punk Noir Press, Scalped, Blood Lotus, Greatest Uncommon Denominator, The Hawaii Pacific Review, The Legendary, Pear Noir, Up The Staircase, Foliate Oak, Writer’s Bloc (Rutgers University), and more.

My short story, Lena, was nominated for the storySouth Million Writer’s Award. I also won the RWA Emily Award for Best Historical Novel.

When not writing, I hike, read, and watch shows about serial killers and dangerous, exotic animals.
