Martin Kelly
Scarborough, Ontario, Canada
Born in rochdale, England, Martin discovered a love of performing at an early age and, after studying the Performing Arts at college, did some small-scale theatre at a professional level. Taking on numerous roles as actor, director and producer, he learned a lot about the industry in a short time.
Eventually forgoing the theatre to perform as a male vocalist in clubs around the UK, Martin Kelly quickly became a firm favorite at many venues and was asked to return time and time again, always delivering a varied program of music that was tailored to each individual venue and audience.
After moving to Toronto, Canada in 2009, Martin returned to performing live theatre in SMT's highly succesful production of 'The Full Monty'. Feature roles soon followed in popular musicals such as 'Guys and Dolls', 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat', 'My Fair Lady,' 'Urinetown - The Musical' and 'Parade'. In 2013, Martin played the role of Oliver Warbucks in 'Annie' with Curtain Call Players and recently joined them again to perform the role of Harold The Hermit in Mel Brooks' 'Young Frankenstein The Musical'.
Martin Kelly continues to perform around the Greater Toronto Area, as well as recording various tracks from home. He is currently looking to record his first studio album, after receiving positive feedback from fans all around the world who have listened to his music online through www.reverbnation.com/martinjkelly.
In what little spare time he has, Martin enjoys designing t-shirts and sells them online.
