Marinela Elezi

GIS Engineer, Consultant, and LiDAR Data Processing in Norway

I am a GIS Engineer specialising in the integration of LiDAR technology with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to provide comprehensive spatial analysis and mapping solutions. My work focuses on railway surveys and civil environments, where I apply advanced techniques to extract meaningful insights from complex geospatial data.

Key areas of expertise include:

  • Point Cloud Classification: Organising LiDAR datasets into meaningful categories for analysis and visualisation.
  • LiDAR Data Processing: Converting raw LiDAR scans into actionable geospatial information.
  • GIS Integration: Seamlessly combining LiDAR-derived data with GIS tools for precise mapping and visualisation.
  • Feature Extraction & Analysis: Deriving structural and environmental features from LiDAR datasets in both 2D and 3D formats for detailed spatial understanding.
  • 3D Point Cloud Modelling: Creating accurate 3D representations of terrain and structures from LiDAR data.
  • CAD and BIM Workflows: Developing CAD models from LiDAR data and incorporating them into BIM Revit environments for detailed planning and design.

By extracting detailed features from LiDAR datasets in both 2D and 3D formats, I enable precise visualisation and analysis of complex environments. My goal is to leverage the combined power of LiDAR and GIS to deliver innovative solutions that support informed decision-making and enhance spatial understanding.

Professional Focus:
My work bridges LiDAR and GIS technologies to redefine spatial intelligence, transforming raw geospatial data into precise, actionable, and highly detailed digital representations of the built environment.
