Mario Ciaramitaro
Educator, Researcher, and Artist in Venice, VE, Italia
Mario Ciaramitaro has complemented his BA in Visual Arts and MA in Visual Comunication from IUAV University of Venice with experience in visual research, writing, publishing and collaborative curatorial practices. In April 2019 he discussed his PHD Thesis for a political approach in Interface Design.
He has a comprehensive professional editorial experience, shaped by his involvement in tutoring students, designing publications for artists and curators, and in collaborative production models in self-organised frameworks.
Some of his most salient projects have been produced in the framework of BLAUER HASE, a team of which he is co-founder, which has given him the opportunity to develop collaborations with artists in a number of collaborative platforms such as the independent magazine Paesaggioand the independent audio-only festival Helicotrema.
His sharp eye has been further cemented by his experience as teaching assistant with the artist Lawrence Carroll and the artist Luca Trevisani at IUAV University. Mario has tutored hundreds of students every year learning to quickly recognize the core of sensibility and ambition; he has been part of a number of artist’s talks and panel discussions; and has been nurturing the Venice art circle with numerous events.
