An entrepreneur at heart, I am a digital media strategist and technology consultant. I have nearly 8 years of diverse technical experience as a web applications developer, requirements analyst, technical writer, and project lead which lends to a results-oriented, methodical and creative approach to new media projects.
In addition to my most recent technical strategy and requirements gathering role, I have daily hands-on experience with Drupal CMS development, user interface design and development, PHP/MySQL development, technical writing, and project management.
Prior to joining Carousel30, a small digital media agency, I was a Web Applications Developer for Tribune Company's Orlando Sentinel where I lead the technical execution of online editorial initiatives, working closely with news staff to develop data-driven interactive applications.
Additionally, I was a Systems Integration Analyst for Lockheed Martin's Enterprise Information Systems division supporting various internal web applications. Specialties applied in this role included: ColdFusion, .NET, J2EE software development, requirements gathering, and technical writing. I am an advocate of start-up enterprises, user-generated content, open-source platforms, and social media engagement.
In 2010, I co-founded Skillology.com, an online community that promotes entrepreneurship and professional development resources for creative professionals. Additionally, I attend and participate in technology-related conferences and events, such as DrupalCon (2011) and PHPMeetup groups.
