Marion Kyle Abellana

Musician in Manila

He is a talented organist, pianist, music director and music educator.

He started his formal lesson in pipe organ at the age of 18 under Mr. Jowell Cruz at the Bamboo Organ. He continued piano and pipe organ studies under Prof. Victor Victorino at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music Extension Program in 2018. He attended workshop in Gregorian chant under Mr. Ferdinand Bautista in the Musicam Sacram Conferences in 2017 and 2018.

He is pursuing a degree of Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance under Inst. Helen Reyes and further studies in Pipe Organ under Rev. Fr. Leo Nilo Mangussad, MSM at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music. In September 2022, he was invited as organist to accompany the UST Symphony Orchestra, Coro Tomasino and Litirgikon Vocal Ensemble in the Dalaw Patrona organized by the Santisimo Rosario Parish held at the Manila Cathedral under the leadership of Prof. Antonio Africa as Dean of the Conservatory. In 2023, he was also invited as organist to accompany the Thomasian Community Choir in University-wide masses such as the Ash Wednesday Mass and Paskuhan Mass organized by the Center of Campus Ministry. As pianist, he performed in the 34th Sampung mga Daliri at the UST Quadricentennial Pavillon as one of the annual events organized by the Conservatory of Music in 2024.

He is the resident organist at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary La Naval De Manila (Santo Domingo Church) in Quezon City, Philippines since 2018. Under his residency as organist, he currently hold the position as Musical Director of the Pueri Cantores di Santi Domenico (Dominican Youth Choir) since July 2024. He accompany in the mass with the choir every Sunday and special occasions.

Currently, he took the position as part-time choirmaster, organist and musoc educator at the UST Angelicum College that he handled Rigoroso Vocal Ensemble and Angelicum Voices for the institutional masses.

Aside of being a music director and organist in the Dominican church, he is also an aspirant of the Dominican Laity in the La Naval Chapter for his devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and to the Dominican saints.
