I'm Marisol. I currently work as a program associate at the Pop Culture Collaborative. I volunteer on worker rights and immigrant rights issues, and helped co-found two youth organizations NYSYLC (2007) and United We Dream (2010) back in the day.

What gets me up in the morning is the opportunity to support organizations and individuals engaging in transformative change for social justice. I often provide consulting support in areas such as fundraising and program development.

I like to do things that challenge me like traveling solo to random countries, getting lost in new cities and confronting the status quo. I've been to Bangladesh, India, Cambodia, Thailand, Mexico, France, Portugal, Spain and Canada, and to most of the 50 states. I also run (running three marathons: Big Sur, Chicago and NYC this year) and on occasion ride my bike too.
