Marissa Polvere

Washington D.C.

Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago.

I majored in Psychology at RIT and obtained my Masters in Sign Language Education at Gallaudet. I also received my ASLTA & Deaf Studies Certification.

I am a passionate American Sign Language Professor- it is my goal to continue, cherish and celebrate the importance of ASL.

I love teaching and am always thrilled when people want to be involved with the Sign Language Community.

I have a strong urge to help promote the Deaf community all over the world, and spread knowledge about accessibility, deaf rights, and deaf education.

An enthusiast. Curious about the world. Adventurous and loves trying anything at least once.

I enjoy learning and gaining different perspectives about life.

In my spare time, I like to travel, read books, learn about other cultures, try different kinds of food, see the unknown, and do whatever I can to lead a bold lifestyle.
