Marissa Rodriguez

Hello, My name is Marissa. If you asked me to describe myself with 3 words, I would say that I am passionate, tenacious and hard working. Per StrengthsFinder- I am characterized through the following five strengths- Ideation, Analytical, Individualization, Strategic and Relator.

I have been working in the field of higher education for the last 8 years and have enjoyed my experiences helping people to attain intangible goals, creating unforgettable experiences and helping to improve programs and organizational structures. I have taken a voluntary leadership role as a President of a 420+ staff organization for event planners at ASU and increased enrollment by 25% in less than a year and have helped to improve the structure across the entire university, spark innovation and create networking opportunities. I am extremely proud of what I have contributed to the big picture in this role.

I am now ready for new ventures and looking to expand my skills even further in the city of Austin, Texas. This year my goal was to take a trip by myself and I chose Austin. It was love at first sight. The culture, artwork, music, food, friendly people...I could go on. From that trip I knew that this is where I could see myself living and within 6 months worked to make it happen.

I am excited to start anew and take myself outside of my comfort zone. I know I can do anything I put my mind to and want to grow even more in the process. I am versed in the fields of marketing and communication, community engagement, event management and program/project management. I'm looking to further grow in the marketing field and am open to opportunities. I want to work with an organization that makes a positive impact for others. Ready to see where this could take us?
