Given her sky-high energy, penchant for travel and fashion, and an increasingly frequent habit of completing triathlons, it’s no wonder BORELLI Design founder Marissa Borelli is passionate about creating products that marry fitness and style, and travel beyond the gym into everyday life. While training for her first half marathon Marissa searched high and low for something to throw on to avoid post-run chills. Unable to find a suitable quick-drying option in the market, she designed her own: the BORELLI scarf. She combined the revolutionary dri-release™ fabric with the century's biggest fashion trend, the scarf. The BORELLI scarf is so versatile that one can sweat with it on at spin class, throw it on to ward off post-workout chills, and wear it as a chic accessory to work or social events. Marissa drew on a deep wealth of education and professional experience when venturing out on her own with BORELLI Design. She is a graduate of the prestigious Parsons School of Design in New York City. Before attending Parsons, Marissa excelled as an undergraduate at UCLA, in addition to playing volleyball for the nationally ranked women’s varsity team. During her time at UCLA, Marissa ventured to Florence, Italy to study fashion design and Renaissance architecture at the renowned Lorenzo de Medici University. Marissa’s unbridled passion for fashion and athletics led her to work for companies such as lululemon athletica, Ralph Lauren, Swiss Army Victorinox, K-Active by Kerri Walsh and Green Apple. When she’s not designing, Marissa competes in half marathons and triathlons. She also loves to travel, bake for neighbors, and practice yoga. With eclectic taste in music, food and clothing, Marissa brings a fresh and innovative approach to the active wear/lifestyle apparel market, and serves as Chief Sparkplug of the newly formed BORELLI Design team.
