Marissa Lewis
IAM Specialist, Process Automation, and Writer in Saint Louis, MO
Hi, I’m Marissa.
I’m an Okta Certified Professional and strategist focused on identity governance and automation. I develop processes to handle the full employee lifecycle — from onboarding to role changes to secure offboarding (JML). I design systems that keep people moving smoothly while protecting access at every step.
When I am not architecting IT systems, I spend time understanding the various vehicles to generate Wealth. I am currently investing in real estate, buy and hold primarily but I am seeking mutual partnerships to go to the next level. I use my successes and failures to teach others in the community how to make smart money moves to enrich their lives.

A short story, when I was in high school, my English professor, Mr. Economon, would implore me to “SDT” - show, don't tell with my writing. I didn't fully understand what he meant and you know what he did? He gave me a book to read: Fences by August Wilson. I began reading more, specifically Black authors and I became enthralled by the words of Maya Angelou, Audre Lorde, Octavia Butler, James Baldwin and so on. I found that reading significantly improved my own writing style.
In college, I found a love I didn't know I was missing in Philosophy. I continued writing, so much so that I was encouraged to pursue Philosophy in grad school. But, alas, life had different plans for me and I began my IT career in 2011. In recent years I have found my way back to writing, authoring a financial education guide, writing articles on behalf of my company’s affinity group, focusing on money through the lens of Black American history and our experience.
At the core, I’m an life learner, mentor, innovator and problem solver. My goal is to create automations, systems, and stories that last.
