Marit Larsen is originally from Oslo, Norway and has been involved in music ever since she can remember. At a young age, Larsen took youth culture by storm as one half of the pop duo, M2M. Their debut single, “Don’t Say You Love Me” was a global success. As Larsen grew older she decided to become a solo artist, and has gone on to have an incredibly successful career. When The Morning Comes, received rave reviews when it was released in Norway, and earned her two nominations for the Norwegian Grammy, ‘Spellemansprisen,’ in the categories Best Lyricist and Best Composer.

Larsen will be releasing her US album, When The Morning Comes, on Friday, January 29th, 2016 via iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and all other digital service providers. The album is currently available for per-order!

For this album, Larsen made a huge leap of faith in deciding to produce it herself in Nashville, TN. Thousands of miles away from her hometown, Larsen’s songs were able to come from a much more honest place. Music City further influenced her sound through a group of young, local musicians including Tofer Brown (Chris Tomlin, The Music of Nashville (TV show), drummer Matt Chamberlain, (Fiona Apple) and string arranger Davide Rossi (Coldplay). With their help, Larsen experienced a kind of creative awakening, and the songs began to flow out of her with an ease she’s never experienced before. With When The Morning Comes, Larsen was finally able to make the album she’s been working on practically her entire career.
