Maritza

My name is Maritza and I was born and raised in Philadelphia with a brief stint in the DC area. That brief stint made me appreciate my hometown more than ever before. I consider myself a foodie because I love to cook as much as I love to eat. A really good meal takes me to my happy place.

The Philly dining scene excites me and I love trying new places. But one of my favorite things to do is experimenting in the kitchen and attempting to replicate some of the dishes I try at the amazing restaurants I find in the city. I find cooking relaxing (cleaning the mess in my small kitchen, not so much) but my favorite way to unwind is with a margarita, chips and guacamole. A close runner up is a cheese plate, some charcuterie and a bottle of wine. Both work at home plopped in front of the TV or in a booth at a restaurant.
