Maritza Ruiz Funes Chong

Hello, my name is Maritza Ruiz Funes. I am originally from Mexico City, but I've been living in Miami, FL. for the past year. I attended Full Sail University for my bachelors in music business and management, and have been involved in projects such as Orlando Calling and Alternative Press Tour where I served as head of dressing room coordination and promotion assistant.

Other than music, I am an avid fashion and art lover. In high school, I was a proud member of the IB and AP leagues where I was able to obtain my diplomas for classes such as AP Art History and Higher Level IB Arts. In those years I also attended, Central St. Martins School of Art and Design where I took courses to learn anything from fashion sketching, haute couture, tailoring and street fashion. It was during that time that I developed a great relationship between music and fashion which merged into a broad variety of projects that I've worked on throughout the years.

When it comes to fashion, I've been lucky to participate in events back in Mexico City such as, DFashion, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Fashion Week Mexico and Fashion's Night Out. There I helped organize, plan and design runways for both national and international designers. I also helped several of them to accesorize and customize looks for the models, which helped me learn to think and act quickly as you only have seconds to prepare models before they go out to the runway.

I am a very quick learner, I am passionate and eager to help and learn, and I am a great problem solver. I always try my very best to make the outcome be pleasant and useful from those who surround me and I'll never give up until I achieve my goals and help others do so as well.
