Hi, I’m Mariz,a bookkeeper and accounting professional based in the Philippines with over 8 years of experience supporting nonprofits, ministries, and small businesses, primarily in the United States.

I passed the CPA Licensure Exam in the Philippines in 2017, and not long after, I found myself working in the world of remote accounting. What started as a career opportunity eventually grew into something much more meaningful, a way to support people who are building organizations, businesses, and missions that truly matter.

Many founders, CEOs, and nonprofit leaders carry a lot on their shoulders every day. My role is simple: I take care of the books so they can focus on building their organizations, serving their communities, and growing what they started.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with 20+ clients at a time, helping keep their financial records organized, accurate, and ready for better decision-making. My specialty is QuickBooks Online, and I genuinely enjoy the work behind the numbers, whether that means cleaning up messy books, building simple financial systems, or helping leaders understand their financial picture more clearly.

Today, I work closely with U.S.-based businesses and organizations by providing reliable bookkeeping support that keeps their financial operations running smoothly behind the scenes. I also assist a U.S. CPA firm with bookkeeping and Form 990 preparation for nonprofit organizations.

In addition to my independent work, I’m also the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of a Philippine-based accounting firm, where I help oversee operations and support a team providing accounting and bookkeeping services to both local and international clients.

Outside of work, I enjoy writing and journaling, learning more about financial literacy, and embracing a life of simple living. I’m naturally an introvert who enjoys quiet work in front of a computer, solving financial puzzles and helping businesses keep their numbers in order.

At the end of the day, I hope people experience me as someone who is trustworthy, supportive, and easy to work with.

And at heart, I’m simply someone who believes that clear numbers and simple systems can make life a little lighter for the people doing meaningful work.
