After completing 26 years of service in the Canadian Forces, I am transitioning to a second career as a small business owner.

Military service presented exciting and challenging opportunities to undertake duties in areas of operations, training, administration and personnel management while serving on bases, on overseas operations and in National Defence Headquarters. In addition, rich experiences were gained working with other Government and Non-Governmental agencies including Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Canada, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Canadian International Development Agency, Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada and Veterans Affairs Canada. Extensive travelling, for both work and pleasure, has exposed me to far-reaching corners of the globe. This career was highlighted by my appointment as an Officer of the Order of Military Merit, an award presented by the Governor General for dedication and devotion beyond the call of duty, achieving conspicuous merit, and exceptional military service.

Exposure to the beauty and history of Newfoundland and Labrador led to the discovery of a love of writing and subsequent production of two historical novels: “In the Mouth of the Dragon” and “One Blue Button.” These accomplishments in turn propelled the incorporation of BcWell Publishing, with a view to assisting others produce superior written material across the full spectrum of genres.
