Mark Bidner

Longtime private investor, entrepreneur, and senior executive Mark Bidner serves as Chairman Emeritus of RecoverCare, LLC, based in Louisville, Kentucky. The firm, with revenue of approximately $300 million, provides health care equipment to long-term acute-care hospitals, rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities, hospice sites, and home settings. Mark Bidner, who previously acted as Chief Executive Officer of the company, possesses considerable experience in managing and investing in health care and health care manufacturing businesses. He also fulfilled Chairman and CEO duties at Hollywood Capital, Inc., his family investment firm.

A graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, where he earned a Juris Doctor, Mark Bidner began his career in securities and corporate law at international firm Shea & Gould, headquartered in New York. Subsequently, as a private investor, he assisted in bankrolling several start-ups, such as Carolina Fiberloft, Inc.; Air Filter Technologies, Inc.; California Fiberloft, Inc.; and Hampstead Properties, LP., In 1996, Mark Bidner partnered with Aurora Capital Group to fund Western Nonwovens, Inc. (WNI), one of the country's largest manufacturers of industrial nonwoven textiles. As the Chairman, CEO, and a major shareholder of WNI, he facilitated nine acquisitions, oversaw the operation of 34 manufacturing facilities across the nation, and negotiated the sale of the company to private-equity firms.

A former member of the Board of Directors of the Louisville Zoo; the Louisville Metro Police Foundation, Inc.; and The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, Mark Bidner also sat on the Board of Trustees of Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences in Santa Monica, California. A devoted family man, he shares his wealth through The Merideth and Mark Bidner Family Foundation and through other philanthropic activities. The Louisville, Kentucky, resident's additional interests include motorcycles and cars.
