Mark Naylor

I currently hold a Personal Fellowship researching how we should manage uncertainties associated with natural hazards and earth resources.

Basically, I am interested in the maths that rocks do.

I graduated in Physics at Oxford University in 2000 before moving to Edinburgh where I did a PhD in How Mountains Grow. Following this I have worked on earthquake seismology, complex system science and carbon capture and storage.

When I escape work you will likely find me hanging off a mountain, sliding around on some snow or building a fire at the beach.
