Mark Perissinotto
Dr Mark Perissinotto BVSc, has been a practicing veterinarian for over 20 years, 14 years of which he was the owner and principal of a busy multi-vet mixed animal hospital. Dr Mark, one of the two co-founders of VetShopAustralia, graduated from the University of Queensland with
Bachelor of Veterinary Science.
His work experience has seen him attending some funny, bizarre and interesting cases - from
being locked in a circus cage with a sick lion, attending to a camel with a tooth infection to
emergency surgery and intensive care following serious life threatening trauma cases. Although
Dr Mark encourages pet owners to take their pet to visit a local veterinarian at least once a
year, he has always felt that pet owners should be empowered to administer straight forward
treatments like over-the-counter spot-on flea products without needing to visit a vet clinic first.
