I lead people and programmes that turn capability building into real-world impact, most recently designing Skills Institute's new Bachelor of Applied Business Management (BABM, launching in 2027), and before that building New Zealand's first postgraduate venture-creation programme (MCEI) at Whitecliffe College.

One conviction runs through all of it: the best leadership and innovation capability isn't taught from a slide deck, it's built through purposeful, relational, embodied and emplaced practice.

Small gestures can set bold ideas in motion.

That conviction is what led me through my PhD to create BeWeDō®, a world-first, movement-based Design Thinking methodology synthesising the Japanese martial art of Aikidō, creative practice and leadership development, creating spaces where purposeful movement between people amplifies human connection. Engaged 700+ participants across 8 countries, recognised by IDEO and Aalto University, and presented internationally at conferences across the US, UK, Estonia, Slovenia, Finland, Japan, Australia, Italy and South Korea.

My design research is published in peer-reviewed journals including 'Leadership,' and the BeWeDō® framework was included in the EU Horizon-funded 'CARING NATURE' project (2025) with Lappeenranta University of Technology, Finland. I continue presenting internationally, most recently at 'Anticipation 2026' and 'Nordic Academy of Management 2026' (NFF26), and led a workshop at 'GEN NZ Unconference and Workshops 2026'.
