In my opinion, one of the key challenges facing contemporary creative practice is to shift beyond mere collaborative thinking, to more purposeful and relational ways of designing co-operatively with each other. Small gestures can set bold ideas in motion!
I have navigated from finishing my PhD – synthesising diverse literature focussed on aikidōka, leadership development, and creative modes of practice – to emerging as an internationally known and respected design researcher. During this time, I have developed a transdisciplinary design-led research framework called BeWeDō® which has garnered international recognition in Slovenia, England, USA, Japan, Estonia, Finland, Australia, and New Zealand as a new method within the broad rubric of Design Thinking.
In a nutshell, BeWeDō moves conversation to action for Collective Creativity, Leadership Development and Decision-making. The unique approach literally creates space to get people moving – physically, mentally and socially – to explore an issue and then take the first steps to make a change. During BeWeDō®, everyone’s voice matters! We carefully design BeWeDō® workshops, customise BeWeDō® team building events, and curate BeWeDō® Partnerships for organisations.
