I love reading Mark Twain. "Golf is a good walk spoiled." I spend most of my time thinking about the best architecture for enterprise applications and teaching folks to write code. I also play drums and enjoy driving small sports cars, very fast, through curvy mountain roads with my curvy, red headed wife!

I have over 30 years of experience in the disciplines of software engineering, database administration, and project management. Software that I developed for the radio industry is still in use today. I was a lead developer on the team that created Tapscan, a well-known Arbritron ratings analysis system that has dominated the radio industry for many years.

Since 2003, I have been awarded MVP (Microsoft Most Valuable Professional) status for my contributions to the professional developer community and I serve as Microsoft's Regional Director covering the Southeast United States. I also co-founded .Net Rocks, the first podcast for .Net developers, and enjoyed being the co-host for one year. I've been a speaker at most major Microsoft conferences around the world and have enjoyed the opportunity to travel to 19 different countries.

I am a Microsoft Certified Trainer, Application Developer, Solution Developer for .Net, and Database Administrator.

Right now, I just might be playing drums :-)
