Mark Litzler
Director of Advancement in Kansas City, Missouri
Mark Litzler is currently the Director of Advancement at the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. He is in charge of marketing and fundraising efforts for the museum, and is in charge of developing effective programs that coincide with the growth of the museum overall. Previously, Mark worked as the Executive Director for the St. Luke’s Foundation in Kansas City, MO. He supported the needs of St. Luke's Hospital and its neighboring affiliates.
Besides his work in the Public Administration field, Mark is an accomplished cartoonist, whose work has been featured in many reputable journals around the United States. Under the alias of Joe Vanilla, Mark's cartoons focus on the daily activities of Joe (your average, regular guy) in today's corporate setting. As found in Mark's website "Joe faces silly office politics, administration, confusing technology, iPods, ATMS, Facebook, fumbled interpersonal relationships, and other pushes and pulls of contemporary life. Joe is our everyday protagonist. Relevant, quick witted, playful, ironic and timely."
