Mark Locke

I've worked in the financial services industry for more than 22 years. During that time I've done a bit of admin, a fair amount of sales and a big chunk of marketing (propostion and communications). About 10 years ago, I decided I needed a 'thing' and so I settled on PR and media relations. It's the one discipline in this industry that enthuses me. Anyway, I've won a few industry PR awards along the way, so I'm hoping that counts for something.

After a long time in "provider land" enjoying berths at Scottish Life, Scottish Widows, Bright Grey and Aegon, I finally decided to put my PR and communication expertise to use as a consultant.

I joined a small but noisy consultancy called the lang cat in September 2013. I haven't looked back since. I'm helping our clients take their messages to various audiences in lots of different ways.

In the main, the clients I work with are on a retained basis. But I'm equally happy to take on project PR work too. It's all good.
