Markayela Johnson

Markayela is the former host of Flashback Friday on WINR Radio. She was the recipient of the 2017 South Carolina Broadcaster's Association Scholarship. Over the course of her college career, Ms. Johnson has written and produced several multimedia projects. She is currently a senior mass communication student at Winthrop University.

Markayela recently became a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. She is also a member of the Winthrop sector of Anabasis Bevy and the DiGorgio Student Union Programming Board. Ms. Johnson is an administrative assistant in the Winthrop University office of Mass Communication. Upon completion of her degree she aspires to become a news anchor and a radio host.
