A graduate of the University of Connecticut with a BS in finance, Mark Barra served as a vice president at CityTrust early in his career. After holding positions such as senior vice president at FleetBank and vice president of the Bank of Hawaii, he became the global managing director of the Global Special Assets Group at Daimler Chrysler Capital Services, Inc., also known as Mercedes Benz Credit and Debis Financial Services. During this time, Mark Barra also earned an MBA in global management from the University of Arizona.
In 2005 he founded Global Financial Consulting LLC, an international diversified consulting firm that guides distressed businesses to return to financial stability. Since founding the company, he has assisted numerous clients around the globe. He has also become a noted speaker at international conferences in the banking and marine trade industries.
An avid golfer in his leisure time, Mark Barra has owned and operated Monster Mini Golf and Laser Tag since 2012. The company includes two entertainment centers with activities such as arcade games, glow-in-the-dark mini golf, laser tag, and a ropes course.
